Au Naturel

  • Sorry I didn't dress up. This is me. This is today's practice. Yup, I'm wearing something warm to comfort me from the cold. But we both know that when you show up for yourself, au naturel is always in style. 

With only 30-40 minutes to spare I gave myself a snappy warm up on the Reformer. Take a look. I know it's quick but can you see some things that I could work on? I hope so, because our bodies are always showing us what they need. No shame. No blame. And since I am listening, it's talking.

That's not to say that what it's asking for has to be sweet and soothing. Oftentimes the answer is one of Joe's brilliant anecdotes to correct a tendency toward sluggishness or asymmetry. Can you guess which three exercises I chose for myself today? (Hint: I did all of them on the Cadillac). I'll tell you what I chose next time.

Enough about me. Let's talk about you. If you have your own Mat or Reformer, give yourself an au naturel workout. Take the pressure off. Listen to your body. Give it what it needs.
